Bug Fixes & New Camera + Lens SupportĪdobe Lightroom Classic 12.0 has updated its list of the latest supported cameras and lenses that the Camera-Raw plugin supports. This new update gives you more control over your photo editing workflow and allows you to disable auto-advance for a more customized experience. Disable Auto-Advance For Auto-ImportĪdobe Lightroom’s new “Disable Auto-Advance For Auto-Import” feature allows you to change the auto-advance setting during import in the Auto Import setting window. This new feature is designed to help you keep your photos organized and easy to find. Lightroom introduces the option to display the parent folder in the “Folder” panel by default for newly imported images in Preferences. This new update gives you more flexibility and control over your photo editing workflow. Plus, the Premium presets collection has been expanded with new smart presets that are designed to help you achieve the best photo editing results. You can now access the Adaptive Presets to make specific changes to people, including their skin texture, teeth, etc. This new feature makes it easier than ever to manage and organize your presets. Lightroom will automatically analyze the selection and fill it in with best-suited generated content from other parts of the photo. Next, define the size and opacity of the brush and then click and drag it over the areas you want to heal. To use the Content-Aware Remove tool, simply select the photo you want to retouch and then choose the “Healing” brush from the toolbar. Lightroom’s new Content-Aware Remove feature is a lifesaver when it comes to quickly removing dust spots, blemishes, and other unwanted particles from your photos. This new feature is great for flexibly masking objects with more precision than ever. With a quick brush or rectangle select, Lightroom’s AI will automatically refine the edges to a precise selection. It works like any other masking option but only a faster way to get to the background and modify it. From here, you can go in and make your adjustments to the background. Quickly select a picture’s entire background with a single click of a button. After selecting your option, you can easily go through the same masking workflow. If you want to add another person or object to the masking panel, hit the “+ Create New Mask” option and click on the “Select People”. Though nothing much has changed in the Masking panel, there is one detail worth mentioning. After deciding on one, click on it, and it will open up a new section with various masking options to choose from, such as skin, eyes, teeth, and more. Select the “Masking” tool > Choose the person/object you want to edit. To use the Portrait Masking tool, start off in the Develop Module. This powerful new feature allows you to quickly and easily select and isolate subjects in your photos, so you can make targeted edits without affecting the rest of the image.
